Funeral services for Mrs. Cedell Benford, who passed January 29, 2014 at the age of 87, will be held on Saturday; February 8, 2014, at the New Life Church of God that is located at 1990 FM 389 in Brenham, TX at 11:00 a.m..
Mrs. Benford is survived by her two sons: Eddie Joe Abercrombie of Temple, TX and Sid Taplin of Houston; her daughters: Willie Mae August of Houston, TX, Ruby J. Proctor of Brenham, TX, Rita J Riddick of Syracuse, N.Y., Linda Taplin of Bay City, TX, Emma Lee Payne of Round Rock, TX, Eleanor Claduette Haynes of Temple, TX and Brenda Kay Johnson of Brenham, TX: two sisters: Ola Mae McBride and Hettie Louise Taylor of Houston, TX, a host of other family members, church members and friends.
Arrangements have been entrusted to HOGAN FUNERAL HOME, 1002 West Alamo Street, Brenham, TX 77833, (979) 836-2571. Visitation will be held, at the funeral home from 02:00 p.m. to 04:00 p.m. on February 7, 2014 and from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at the Church on February 8, 2014.
