Don Douglas Johnson of Brenham, TX

Don Douglas Johnson passed on Sunday; January 10, 2009, in Bryan, Texas.  Funeral services for Mr. Johnson will be held on Saturday, January 16, 2010 at Mt Zion Methodist Church at 11:00 a.m.  Visitation will be held on Friday; January 14, 1009, between the hours of 05:00 and 7:00 p.m at the Hogan Funeral Home Chapel located at 1002 West Alamo Street in Brenham, TX.

Mr. Johnson was born on March 11, 1936, to the proud parents of Earl and JoAnna Johnson.  He attended, and graduated from, Pickard High School.  He also attended Texas Southern University where he pursued studies to become a master plumber.  His education was interrupted when he was called to serve his country and he served two enlistment periods.  Following his service to his country, Mr. Johnson served the J.C. Penny’s Company for 35 years as well as a host of other employers in the Brenham, TX area.

 

He leaves, to cherish his memory, his beloved wife of over 45 years; Annie McNeil-Johnson, one daughter; Angela Denise Johnson Sullivan (Carl) of Bryan, TX, two loving grandchildren; James and Brooke Sullivan, two sister-in-laws; Rosetta Crump of Kendleton and Lovie Mae Lee of Dallas, Texas, two brother-in-laws; James McNeil (Cory) and Roy McNeil (Linda) of Houston, one nephew; Earl Johnson (Barbara)   of Houston, TX, and one niece; Zakiyah Young (William) of Richmond, VA as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
