Funeral services for James W. Poindexter, Jr. , who passed July 14, 2014, will be held on July 26, 2014 in the Prairie View A & M University Johnson-Phillip All Faith Chapel in Prairie View, Texas at 12:00 noon.
Mr. Poindexter (James) was born on September 13, 1962 to James and Jimmie Poindexter (residents of Prairie View, Texas). He is survived by his parents, James and Jimmie Poindexter, his wife; Melba Leonard Poindexter, three sons; James Willie Poindexter, III (Trey), Morgan Lee Cato Poindexter, and Denzel Jamar Gill, and three sisters; Judith Poindexter Wilson (Aaron), Jacqueline Dabney (Marvin), Penelope Cole(David) as well as a 2 nieces, a nephew and a host of cousins, great-nieces, aunts, uncles, other relatives, and friends.
Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m to 12:00 p.m. in the All faith Chapel. Mr. Poindexter will be interred in the Prairie View Community cemetery folowing t he chapel services. Arrangements have been entrusted to HOGAN FUNERAL HOME, 1002 West Alamo Street, Brenham, TX 77833, (979) 836-2571.
