Funeral services for Mrs. Lois Marie Hughes, who passed January 21, 2014 at the age of 81, will be held on Saturday; January 25, 2014, at the Post Oak Baptist Church that is located at 906 Booker Street in Brenham, TX at 12:00 noon.
Ms. Hughes was a long time sales person at Schleider Furniture Company and a well known Brenham community activist.
Mrs. Hughes is survived by her daughters; Gail Hughes Marshall of Houston and Karen H Wynn of Little Edna, TX, he sons; Joe Willie Hughes, Jr. of Oakland, CA and Gerald W. Hughes of College Station, TX., one brother; Mack Williams of Brenham, and three sisters; Theresa Rogers of Brenham, TX, Shirley Williams of Berkley, CA and Mattie Roberson of Round Rock, TX as well as nine grandchildren, a host of other family members, church members and friends.
Arrangements have been entrusted to HOGAN FUNERAL HOME, 1002 West Alamo Street, Brenham, TX 77833, (979) 836-2571. Visitation will be held, at the funeral home from 02:00 p.m. to 06:00 p.m. on January 24, 2014 and from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the Church on January 25, 2014
