Funeral Services for Willie Dorsey, age 91, who passed December 12, 2014, will be held on Saturday; December 20, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at the Ebenezer Baptist Church that is located at 3670 Nicholson Lake Road in Chapel Hill, Texas
Willie Dorsey Sr. was born June 3, 1923 to the late Leonard and Cassie Dorsey in Independence, Texas where he grew up and attended school. He accepted Jesus as his Lord and Savior at an early age and united with the Methodist Church. He later became a member of Liberty Baptist Church in Independence, Texas. He loved the Lord and attended Church each Sunday until his health began to fail.
He was united in Holy Matrimony to Ella Mae Newsome. To this union seven children were born. For the early part of their life together he worked as a rancher. He later moved to Brenham, Texas and worked for the city of Brenham where he retired from.
On the morning of December 12, 2014 he was called from labor to reward. He gently slept away in the bosom of the Master. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Ella Mae Dorsey, sister, Geneva Newsome and brother, Clarence Dorsey; close friend, Annie Mae Pennygraph, one daughter, Evette Dorsey and one son, Charles David Dorsey.
He leaves to cherish his precious memories; four devoted daughters: Willie Marie Bellville and Pearlie Mae Turner of Chappell Hill, Texas, Gladys Dorsey Roberson (Alexander) of Houston, Texas, Ella Mae Dorsey of Deanville, Texas; three loving sons: Eddie Mayes (Bonnie)of Chappell Hill, Texas; Willie Dorsey Jr. of Brenham, Texas and Darrell Wayne Dorsey of Chappell Hill, Texas and daughter-in-law; 20 grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren, 7 great, great grandchildren; two sister-in-laws, Novella Williams and Ida Mae Dorsey of Chappell, Texas and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
